I have been having the HARDEST time keeping our house neat. It seems like every room you walk in has toys in it. The kids rooms are the WORST! I would post pics, but I’m to embarrassed…. Before kids I use to get up every Saturday and clean the whole house until it was spotless. Now I feel like all I do is pick up toys over and over and over and over again – and the house still looks a mess when I’m done. Well I have been trying to think of something that would be fun for the kids and help encourage them to be at least a little neater :) So I came up with a game. It’s called “I Spy A Clean Room”
To play you will first need to print out the game pieces (you can click HERE to download the 8-1/2 x 11 PDF File with the games pieces on it) then just cut them out (I personally am going to laminate mine to make them last longer)
Then what you do is before the kids start to clean tell them to go in the other room and you hide these game pieces. You can hide them under a pile of toys they left out, next to laundry they need to pick up, just anywhere they need to clean. Then you ask them to clean and find the game pieces, if they have a nice clean room when they are done and found all the game pieces I’m going to let my kids pick a prize from our treasure chest I got on Oriental Trading Co.

You can use this game in almost every room. Another fun thing would be to see who finds the most cards and has the cleanest room in the shortest amount of time :)
